no damsel in distress.

so i guess christmas may be OVER but hey, were still alive. unless we call ourselves dead.
story:
some us may not have received that very prestigious gifts but don't we consider ourselves lucky enough? yesterday, i was watching this noon time show when the host presented a very heart melting short what you call "palabas" i am not really a fan of that noon time show but i suddenly stopped and watched the "palabas" thing. i did not really expect that they would be showing their watchers && audience that short thing. but i was really astonished when i saw the part when the tv host went into a certain place where there was a mother taking care of her 5 children. what made me more amazed is for the fact that the have no house. REALLY. they are living on a small box which is known as "KARITON" here in the philippines. i could not imagine myself in that situation. honestly. but wait here's something more, she does not have a husband and she has a young child which i think is suffering from a sickness. and wait its CHRISTMAS people. they have no money to buy food and they are sleeping in the streets of manila. nobody even cared about then until the host came. and much more, its christmas, think about it, they are supposed to be getting ready for their noche buena or maybe going to church. instead they are getting ready to go to sleep because they have nothing to eat. very touching indeed. now, after watching the show, i thought of something. something i think everyone may not be aware of. we are SOOOOO LUCKY. you know why? because amidst of all the problems we go through everyday, we are still living comfortably. one time my mom said " arte masyado kayo pasalamat kayo kaya namin yan ibigay sa inyo ng daddy ninyo!" and i really agree with her. sometimes we may not get what we want. that is true. but almost all the time, we are given with what we want to have because our parents wants us to have the best. despite all the trials we are going through, we are FORTUNATE indeed. so as you have thought about our situations in life, we have to thank GOD for the comforts in life that HE have showered upon us. :]
